Fresh made tomato juice is a favorite of mine. It is actually one of my favorite juices, along with carrot juice and pomegranate juice. When it comes to juicing combos then tomato and carrot together is my personal heaven. Of course, tomato juice is not a favorite of everyone's, but if you love tomato juice, then I got 3 recipes here that you can enjoy at home.
There are several ways to make tomato juice recipes, one is too cook the tomatoes, and the other is to put the raw tomatoes straight into the juice extractor. The raw approach is what I will be using for all these recipes.
So let's get to it!
Green Onion Garnished Tomato Juice
This recipe is way simple
Ingredients: 3 large toms or 4 mid-sized one, and half a teaspoon of green onion
Wash your tomatoes and juice them
Chop your green onion ultra finely, use the bulb of greens to your preference
Tomato, Celery and Carrot Juice - Spicy
Bring on the spicy. This tomato juice recipe includes to of my fav veggies to juice - toms and carrots.
Ingredients: 2 mid-sized toms, 1 celery stick, 2 carrots, 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
Wash the vegetables, no need for peeling if the carrots are pesticide free. The peel is nutrition packed.
Juice the veggies in no particular order.
Stir in cayenne pepper - up or decrease amount to taste.
This is a fantastic detox juice. In addition to the awesome detoxifying antioxidants of the 3 veggies used, cayenne is also awesome for clearing out toxins. This is why cayenne is sometimes seen as a key ingredient in some detox recipes.
Tomato Heavy V5
We are 3 veggies short of a V8 here, but its all healthy and good (and 3 veggies easier!).
Ingredients: 2 mid-sized toms, 1 carrot, 1/2 beet, 1/4 of a red pepper, 1.2 stick of celery
Wash the vegetables
Juice 'um
Optional: stir in a little olive oil and/or spice things up with a little cayenne pepper
